Kristoffer Ragnarson, a local shipworker on the docks at Klaksvik harbor where 236 pilot whales were previously slaughtered, confronts Peter Hammarstedt of Sea Shepherd. Ragnarson questions SS's actions in the Faroes, and Peter, in his natural stature and response-remains calm, and responds with "You are a rich country now. You do not need to eat whale meat to survive."
Ragnarson retorts: " I will never stop killing whales. I love meat," he says, and walks away.
The Faroese do not understand how Sea Shepherd feels they have the right to be in the Faroes. "It is our country, what right do you have to come here and tell us what to hunt and what to eat?"
